Grand Worthy Florida

The kids are of school and you have some extra vacation days just waiting in your pockets. What will you ever do? How about a trip to the beach-ti-ful Florida? You know that state at the bottom right corner of the country, that kind of look like California but further away and not as packed.

Naturally in this almost succession in the world, you would want to take a trip only if it is cheap. Which is why I am here to suggest little hotel in Miami known as the Grand Beach Hotel. Now, don’t let the name fool you, you will not be paying a grand for this suite, actually you will be paying much less. With the help of Expedia.com, a lovely night at the Grand Hotel only costs $149. Yes, yes this is not exactly the price for a bus token, but keeps in mind this hotel is a four star hotel, very renown in Florida. When I took my trip to Florida, I paid about $200 for a room at the Ritz Carlton.

If you want a family trip, the Grand Hotel offers special packages such as suite for four with children admitted free. Now I don’t know about you, but generally when you take kids anywhere, you have to pay a little extra. If that is not enough to reel you in, they will give you your fourth night free as well. Yes, your kids get a free room for a night and so do you. Oh and did I mention, the hotel itself sits next to a beach so the chance of you having a room where you can see the sun set is very very very high.

As Americans we love food, which means we will not stay anywhere that has less than descent food especially if we are on a vacation. At the Grand Beach Hotel, they have a small restaurant called the Chez Gaston. For all you sandwich lovers, like myself, this is a must-try restaurant. They specialize in redefining what we know about sandwiches, from hot to cold, with mayo or ketchup; if you could order it, they will make it.

Maybe you want to go to Florida to meet some friends; well if that is the case the hotel offers a few lounges for those looking to extend their social network. There is the Lobby lounge, the Cocktail bar, and Sunset Bar. Parents are welcome too, but remember, just because the bar is by a pool doesn’t mean your kids should come in. Some people need a break from the kids too.
